Phantom Ultimate Steel Bullet TD – Beacon Justice
Chapter Two – Nightfall! The Call of Artemis – The City of the Lunar Table Chapter (1) Taipei, Taiwan, mid-July, 2188 A.D. (Colonial Era 50)
Guan Yunru got up early in the morning and read the electronic breaking news at her leisure. Suddenly, she seemed to have found a great treasure and cried out playfully, “Dad, Mom! Quickly, quickly come and look! Big news!”
Mr. and Mrs. Guan, who were enjoying their breakfast, were called by their daughter’s flirty chanting, “Yunru, what happened that warrants such a fuss?”
The girl pointed at the big screen and excitedly shouted, “It’s Mr. Ding! It’s Mr. Ding!” The girl was so excited that she shouted, “It’s Mr. Ding!
Guan Wei and Xiao Wan Yi looked at the headline and content of the report – ‘Yesterday, there was an incident at the 14th UCOE Congress held in Washington DC, USA. The American ABCIA and the military were trying to tie up the delegates of various countries in order to command the world, but in the end, the Japanese steel bomb “Pupos” and another steel bomb of unknown nationality and identity completely shattered their conspiracy. Washington DC was transformed into a battle cyborg arena and suffered a great deal of damage, and the U.S. lost more than it gained, and the UCOE headquarters is now discussing how to deal with the U.S.’s right to participate in the conference…”
The newspaper published a photo image of the steel bullet TD with the subtitle: ‘The powerful steel bullet that left a mystery, where did it come from? (Source: UCOE Public Relations Bureau)’.
“Well done to the lad! True to form!” Professor Guan praised.
“Will, I’ve rarely heard you praise people, and it seems you’re very happy with Kiki.” The professor’s wife hid her mouth and laughed wonderfully.
“Who says you have to ‘look at your son-in-law – the more you look, the more interesting he gets’? Why doesn’t the father-in-law have that right?” Guan Wei humorously replied.
The girl in question, Yunru, was embarrassed by her parents and her sweet face turned white and red for a while. Ding Qi is praised by her father, who doesn’t talk about people easily, which is great; however, she is not even married yet, and her parents call themselves her in-laws, which is really embarrassing for a young girl.
“Dad, mom, people just turned sixteen, you guys can’t wait to throw me out, right?” Yunru ‘damaged’ back.
Xiao Wan Yi smiled and hugged her beloved daughter, “Stupid daughter, you are mom’s beloved, how can I let you leave us! Xiao Qi is lucky to have you, a stunning young lady with a very high eye level, and it’s a blessing that he’s had a few lifetimes to cultivate! Wai, isn’t that right?”
The professor stroked Yunru’s fragrant skull, “Your mom is right! Yunru, you and Xiaoqi are destined to be together, so you should treasure it! Although there are many boys under the sky, there is only one who really suits you! Don’t miss your chance and become blind.”
“Aye! Daughter knows!” Yunru admitted defeat. As long as her mom and dad were on the same page, the girl was doomed to lose, and it was hard for her to show off her tongue. She smiled frankly.
She printed out the news and went back to her room, holding the paper, her heart warm and happy. Yunru sat on the edge of the bed and glanced at the picture frame on the dresser, a photo of her and Ding Qi. It had been less than a day since they had officially met, but it felt like they had known each other for generations.
A long summer vacation without even a plan. Yunru hopped over to her desk and flipped through her journal, she couldn’t help but smile as she reflected on the day she and Dinky first met.
”Brother Dinky is very handsome in appearance, with an indescribable melancholic quality that easily makes girls want to know and love him, at first glance, right? I can’t believe that he would be the most revered Steel Bomb pilot, it’s a bit disproportionate to his temperament. In my impression, the pilots who operate steel bombs are mostly swift soldiers and warriors, but Mr. Ding is very elegant and mature, so he doesn’t fit in with that kind of association.”
‘So… what is it that I like about him?’ Thinking about it, it’s vague, but it seems to be clear. Of course I chose to be strict about my appearance, and there was no doubt that Mr. Ding was beyond the norm; but he was easy to talk to, yes, the main reason, wasn’t he? He knew my heart and mind, unlike those superficial boys of my age who would chase after pretty girls like flies. It’s just annoying… it’s annoying as hell…”
Love is short and children are long.
The young girl used her delicate hand to save the newsprint in her favorite diary, and turned the pen around, smilingly writing down her mood chronicle. Holding Dinky’s portrait in one hand, she touched the man of her dreams, ‘Brother Dinky, where are you nowadays? I don’t want to hear about you only in news reports and newspapers, if only…’
To go looking for him? Yunru’s sudden thought startled even herself! She held her hand to her cheek, unable to make up her mind. Traveling expenses were never a problem, but she was afraid that he would not know where he was going and would not be able to find him, and this was what Yunru was most worried about.
‘What to do?’ She looked up at the ceiling with her chin in her hand, pondering every possible way and means. “Ah, there’s one! I can ask Grandpa Ding! I’m sure he’ll know where Big Brother Ding is!” She locked the diary and quickly moved away from the lotus tip, running towards the living room.
Wan Yi was cleaning up the dishes, “Yun Ru, what are you working on?”
“No! Mom, let me help you.” The beautiful girl denied it hastily and did her chores first.
Mother and daughter worked together to organize the home environment. During the break, Yunru thoughtfully brought two cups of coffee, “Mom, is Dad back in the lab again?”
“Yes, school is out for summer vacation and he’s always so busy! It’s better to have a daughter who knows how to be filial to an old mom like me.”
The girl’s tender shoulders swung lightly in a look of deep sympathy, “Actually, we’re all used to Dad’s personality. Mom, you won’t be lonely with people accompanying you.” The voice was a bit frustrated.
“What’s wrong? Something on your mind?” Wanee cared.
Yunru’s beautiful head shook slightly, not speaking.
My mother laughed and said, “Knowing your daughter is like being a mother! I don’t know what you’re thinking. Yunru, you can’t hide it from me!”
“Mom, you’re not a worm in someone’s stomach, how can that be? I don’t believe it.”
“Hee hee…, let mom guess…. It’s ‘him’ oh? Yunru, you miss Kiki, don’t you?”
The beautiful girl curled her hair uneasily, released it, and went back and forth several times, “Eh! Mom, you’ve got me…” in a voice like a maypole.
“It’s good that you admit it.” Wan Yi was worried that this little ninny would not admit it, but she was quite sincere.
“Do you have a way on hand to contact Grandpa Ting? Mom?” She asked.
“There is! What are you going to do, Yunru?”
“I want to ask Grandpa Ting if he knows the whereabouts of Big Brother Ting Qi, I want to go to him… to pick up the star that belongs to me.” Yunru’s delicate eyes were tearful.
‘It’s the same as my youthful obsession,’ thought my mother, ‘This girl has inherited my personality, and if I don’t agree with her, I don’t know what kind of trouble she’ll cause? …’
The girl sobbed, “Please don’t stop me… I truly love Brother Ding, and I visited him because I wanted to see more of him. If I could be with him for a long time, I would…” Her pearly blossoms were slightly downcast.
Wan Yi sympathized with her daughter’s infatuation, she stood up, turned on her videophone, tapped in the password of her private directory, and called out Dr. Ding Shao Yang’s special communication number for dedicated satellite positioning. “Here, my good daughter, the number you asked for is here. Dry your tears, you won’t let Professor Ding see you crowing, will you?” Her mother pulled out a tissue and wiped Yunru’s tears.
The girl broke into a smile, “Thanks mom! You’re the best!” Chauncey exudes delight.
Rue dialed the number, the electronic call sounded, and the screen was bright blue. “Beep! Call connected, please press the call button.”
She followed the instructions and Dr. Ding’s face came into view, “Hello? Who is this?”
“Grandpa Ding! It’s been a long time! Don’t you remember me? I’m Guan Yunru! The daughter of Dr. Guan Wei and Miss Xiao Wan Yi. The little girl who used to sit on your lap and listen to the ‘Steel Bullet’ story.” The young girl was overjoyed.
Dr. Kwan examined the strange young woman through the screen and searched his brain for memories… Kwan… Yun… Ru…? “Oh! I remember! Yun Ru! Haha! Back then, you wore your hair in two cute braids, you were pretty, quiet, smart, and I liked you a lot. The girl has changed, now you’re a super beauty, no wonder I couldn’t recognize you!”
“People thought you forgot about me. My mother is right next to me, mom! …” Yun-Ru pulled Wan-Yi over, “Say something to Grandpa Ding.”
“Professor, I’m Wan Yi. Wai he’s busy, he hasn’t visited you for half a year, are you well?”
“The same old look. Wan Yi, your daughter is so old now, and you’re still as beautiful as before.
The two stood together, so like a pair of sisters.”
“You are so jocular, teacher. Time is a woman’s greatest enemy, and the pearl’s splendor no longer shines. But how can a mother not be proud to have a daughter who is better than me?”
“That’s true. Wan Yi, you and Wai have seen my untalented grandson Ding Qi, right?
“I’m sorry,” Ding Shaoyang said humbly.
“Kiki he came by. Wei has followed your instructions and has organized the internal systems of the Steel Bullet TD. Also, I had Yunru meet with him.”
“Heh! Hearing you call him by his nickname, I understand that you still look up to him! It’s extraordinarily gracious for the sons of good friends to see each other, isn’t it?”
Wanee giggled, “Yes! “Yes, Yun Hui, why are you hiding behind mom?”
She took the girl by the arm and hooked her up, “This child should have fallen in love with Xiaoqi and hated each other, and now it’s going to be good…”. Yun-yu, come and speak for yourself…” pushing her daughter forward.
“Uh… Grandpa Ting, I’d like to know about Brother Ting’s current whereabouts… I’m sure you know, don’t you? …” The girl was shy, gentle and sweet.
“Hmm~! I never imagined that I would soon earn a charming and wise granddaughter-in-law, what a blessing from my ancestors!” Dr. Ding laughed happily.
Yunru’s cheeks flushed red, “No more, Grandpa Ding will just laugh at me! What Yunru is asking is a serious question.”
“Good! Good! I’ve recruited.” The professor grinned, “He just contacted me half an hour ago and said that he would be back in Beijing in another three hours to meet with me. Grandpa will keep someone in custody for you, so don’t worry! Just waiting for you!”
“Really? Wow, that’s great!” The girl was overjoyed, “Grandpa Ding, I’m so grateful to you!”
Ding Shaoyang restrained his smile, “Yunru, you have to promise grandpa one thing.”
The young girl stood up respectfully and said: “Yes! Grandpa Ding, Yunru is listening!”
“Take good care of Xiaoqi for me. I have few days left, Yunru, and with you accompanying him, Grandpa will not have regrets to worry about.”
“Grandpa Ding, I won’t allow you to talk nonsense! Yunru will pray for you, so that you can live a long and healthy life!” The girl clasped her hands together, her eyes shining brightly.
He turned to look at Xiao Wan Yi, “Wan Yi, you are really well-trained and have taught a good girl who can put herself in people’s shoes. Xiao Qi is so lucky to be in her good graces…”
“Where! Teacher, after I discuss with Wei, I will let Yunru go out to Peking to greet you, and I hope that you will give me a lot of permission if I have disturbed you.”
“Good! Yunru the granddaughter-in-law, I’ve decided.” Prof. Ding invited the young girl, “You have to come quickly! Otherwise, Grandpa Ding won’t be able to handle it!”
“People will go to Beijing as soon as possible. A gentleman’s word is his bond!” She responded.
The phone hung up. Yunru’s sweet smile overflowed, “Hehe, finally I can meet with Big Brother Ding!”
Mother took pity on her: “This girl…, if I don’t help you, you will sooner or later get lovesick. You’ll be thinking of ‘Dinki, Dinki’ all the time, and your soul will go nowhere.”
“I know mom loves me the most!” She hurriedly added a fragrant kiss and imprinted it on Wan Yi’s forehead.
Wan Yi called Guan Wei and informed him that his daughter was going on a long trip. Then she booked a high-speed ferry ticket directly to Beijing for Yunyi. The young girl packs her bags and picks out a few of her favorite clothes, intent on ‘looking good’ for her sweetheart.
The mother rang the bell of her daughter’s room, “Yunru, can mom come in?”
“Um, come in!” The girl sounded much more cheerful.
Wan Yi introductory said: “Mom has already booked a ticket, tomorrow morning at ten o’clock in Taipei Songshan domestic airport take off, not wait for you Oh. Two hours away.” She picked a seat cushion and sat on the floor.
“Okay, thanks mom!” The young girl closed the electromagnetic lock on her suitcase and patted her jade hands together, ready to go.
“Such a big box? Yunru, you’re having a costume show?”
“No, just some daily necessities and clothes. I have a few outfits that I want to show Brother Ding…” She was a bit shy in her newfound love.
My mother laughed and said, “After all this time, it means that I want to charm him!”
“Mom! Who are you helping?” Yun Hui chirped coyly, “I just want to show him my best side…”
“I understand! Silly daughter, mom is naturally on your side! Go for it!”
“Mom..! …” Yun Ru leaned forward and embraced her mother, and the two of them were truly in love… UCOE Japan Headquarters, 48th floor, Tokyo, Minister’s office.
The minister, Kyotomo Yamakawa, with his spotted goatee and all-white hair, holds a hinoki wood pipe in his mouth and takes sips from it.
“Kita, your superiors are completely satisfied with your performance on this mission. Not only did you save the representative of your country, but you also preserved the political leaders of other countries, advancing our international reputation another step!” The minister stopped his draw and exhaled a cloud of mist.
Standing upright, Jiro Kita quietly replied, “This is thanks to your leadership, Minister, but I was only following the orders of my superior.”
“But…” Yamakawa stood up sharply, “the identity of the mysterious steel bullet that was working with you was not explained in detail in your report. What’s going on?”
The minister stepped forward, his eyes like falcons, piercing the youth’s face. Jiro was calm and unperturbed, as steady as a mountain.
“Sir, I only know that the steel bullet TD came from China, and the pilot’s name is Dinky, but nothing else is known.”
“If there’s no way to know, why don’t you find out? Kita, you always know how to do things, why don’t you take the initiative to track it down this time?” The minister returned to his position.
“Sir, my subordinates dare not do anything without your authorization.” The youth had learned his lesson once, and for that reason, it backfired on a close Interpol friend. “Besides, China is a powerful country, and an inadvertent offense will not benefit you, Minister.”
Minister Yamakawa took a drag on his green cigarette, “Yeah! You have a point. However, this country has plans to make an alliance with the Republic of Korea to grab back the three northeastern provinces of China again.”
“Going to start another war?” The young man disagreed, “Didn’t my country give up militarism long ago?”
“Hmph! That’s the government’s foolish policy! Look at the principles of our education-military training, marching, and now the resumption of conscription, each of which is geared toward challenging China.”
Kita sighed softly, “Haven’t we lost enough lives and property in all the battles we’ve fought over the ages? China is a dragon, and when it awakens, no nation can stand against it! Besides, if it wakes up for a hundred years, do we still want to lead the dragon slaying?”
“Kita! How many times has my country stumbled and fallen, and yet we have not suffered the fate of extinction of our nation! The Yamato nation is far more vibrant than the Chinese, and we will prove that the divine might of Amaterasu Omikami lives on.” The minister inhaled briefly, quite agitated, as the reactionary words of his men took him by surprise.
“That Chinese steel bomb will turn out to be a great danger to our Japanese nation! Captain Kita, I order you to destroy it! Understand?” Minister Whitehead spoke heavily.
The young captain bowed his head, “Yes, sir!” He took a few steps backwards and saluted away.
Stepping into the transparent elevator, downward, a layer of changing lights passes over Kita’s eyes.
”Dinky, we were born to be rivals, weren’t we?” The young man clasped one hand together, ”I can’t disobey the orders from above, and I’m afraid the Battle of the Steel Bullets is inevitable…”
Arriving at the first floor of the headquarters, Kita was planning to go back to the base. Suddenly, a voice from behind called out to him, “Captain Kita? Is that you?” A girl’s voice that was smooth and seductive.
The Captain turned, “Oh? It’s you?” The unsmiling man even smiled faintly.
Yasuko Kitazawa, a well-fitted UCOE nurse’s uniform, black hair to her shoulders, a small, cute white cap tied on top of her head, and a short skirt that couldn’t wrap around her beautifully curved legs. The girl was close to Kita, her face blushing, her arms clutching the medical record card, looking up at the young man.
The two walked to the back side of the porch columns that did not attract attention.
“Brother Jiro, it’s really you! Why are you free to come to the headquarters?” The young girl sweet yet.
The young man laughed and said, “I can’t help it, I was summoned by my superiors! When I came here, I wanted to find you, but outside the glass door, I saw you in a mess, so I didn’t say hello to you.”
Yasuko and Kita have known each other since they were childhood sweethearts, and they know each other’s personalities inside out. Three years younger than him, the girl is the one who knows Jiro the best, and the two of them talk about everything, with Kita treating her as the only person he can talk to about his feelings and his true nature. Although the young man regarded her as his sister and best friend, Yasuko Kitazawa’s heart wasn’t quite so ‘pure’.
Yasuko volunteered to serve at UCOE right after she graduated from nursing school, and since then it was also for Kita.
“Yasuko, busy? I haven’t seen you in a few days, you’re getting more and more attractive.” As usual, Kita started off with such words.
“Hehe, the moment we meet, you open your mouth to laugh at people! You never have anything nice to say, do you?” Yasuko protested with a laugh, her pink fist poised to punch the youth.
“Hey, you’re the only one in the whole world who dares to do that to me, Kita Jiro, you girl!” The youth lightly grabbed the young girl’s soft wrist and gently touched the bridge of her nose.
She said, “What’s the big deal about Jiro Kita? Other people fear you like a god of war and a tiger, but I don’t!” She struck her palm several times in a row.
“Count me out! Yasuko, stop it now! The hall is bustling with people, it’s not good for people to see.” Jiro pleaded, and only then did Yasuko stop.
“In a hurry to get back to base?”
“No. You wanted to see me about something?”
She returned her wrist and looked down at her watch, “It’s almost noon, so I’ll go back upstairs and set up the medical records I pulled up and join you for lunch. Wait for me!” She didn’t wait for Kita to respond, waving her hand as she headed for the elevator. The young man had no choice but to wait where he was.
Kita went back and forth around the circle looking at the watch. A short while later, Yasuko tapped him on the shoulder, “I’ve kept you waiting! Let’s go!” Cherry blossoms bloomed on her red lips, and her face melted into peaches and plums.
The two of them picked a quiet sushi restaurant and sat down on their knees. After Yasuko ordered a plate of ‘loose’ sushi, she asked Kita, “I can tell by the look on your face that you’re preoccupied, what’s wrong?”
“You are so sensitive! The ups and downs of my expression are always unchanged and fixed, and you are the only one who knows it at a glance.
It’s a good thing you’re my sister, otherwise, I’d be in deep shit.”
“Sister? Brother Erlang, you only treat people as ‘sisters’ Luo?” The tone of her voice sank with disappointment. So did Fang Xin.
Kita wasn’t stupid, “Hmm? Yasuko, isn’t that so? It’s hard for you to see me as an ‘enhanced monster’, isn’t it?”
The service machine waiter offered to place the sushi and he thoughtfully placed a few pieces of Yasuko’s favorite flavor into her square plate. “Here, your favorite tuna sushi, enjoy it while it’s hot.”
“Brother Erlang, don’t try to avoid the topic! Is I only worthy of being your ‘sister’? Answer me!” The kagome girl caught on and wouldn’t let go.
The youth could not avoid it, and the young girl’s clear, colorful pupils looked at him. “Yasuko, I am a soldier born to die, and my life belongs to the whole country, and I cannot control it. I cannot, and dare not, give you any promises, even if they are light, and that is unaffordable.”
“People don’t want any promises or vows. Even if we talk to the infinite starry sky and talk about the sky and the sea, what’s the use? What’s the use of talking about love? What about love? What about the sparks? What happens after the sparks ignite? Do couples still have to hold each other together? Brother Erlang, I just want to be with you! I understand that you’re not good at expressing yourself, but I know that you love me, you love me,” said Yasuko! I know you love me, you love me!” Yasuko sobbed as she cried on the floor.
Kita had not expected Yasuko’s reaction. The feelings of a young man and a young woman – he knew them well, and Yasuko’s extraordinary love was not something that could be glossed over with the irrelevant phrase ‘brother and sister’.
The young man sat close to the girl, stretched out his arm and softly touched Yasuko’s fragrant shoulder, “Alright, little Yasuko, please don’t cry. If you cry, I’ll have a big responsibility.”
The beautiful maiden raised her jade head, “Brother Erlang, how can I… not cry… when you are so ‘uncaring’?” She was sobbing and sniffling.
“Missy, this kind of ‘accusation’ has to be substantiated! Once the big hat is on, are you going to make me wear it for the rest of my life?”
Kita took out a tissue and wrapped his arms around her water snake waist while wiping away the young girl’s tears, “Yasuko, on the battlefield, I would never surrender to anyone; once I met you, a little troublemaker, I had to raise the white flag. You see, you are a million times more terrifying than a ‘steel bullet’.”
“Talking about ‘steel bullets’ and shutting up about ‘steel bullets’, Brother Jiro, is ‘steel bullets’ the only thing on your mind? Who’s more important than him?”
“You and the Steel Bullet are like my life. Without ‘Steel Bullet’, I cannot protect you; without you, it is meaningless for me to pilot ‘Steel Bullet’.”
Yasuko cried and laughed: “Brother Jiro, you’re always talking in circles.” She pinched Kita’s palm.
He kissed the young girl’s tender cheek, “It was my fault for failing you.” The two snuggled close together.
“Whatever, you have to compensate people for their youth.” The girl cried nervously. Her delicate eyes were half-closed in bliss.
“Yasuko, you’re only seventeen, there’s plenty of time to squander. What do you want me to pay for it with?”
“Well… I think..! You’ll have to admit to the public that you’re someone’s boyfriend, and I’ll try to deny my ‘sister’s’ strange identity. This is the first step.” Yasuko began to lay out her conditions.
“Yes!” Kita agreed without thinking.
“Step two – Erlang, when are you going to propose to someone?”
The young man’s mouth dropped open, “What…? A proposal… for marriage?”
“Right. The proposal ~wedding~!” The young girl intensified her accent.
“At least, at least until the world situation stabilizes, right? Yasuko, imagine to have a happy and fulfilling marriage under the ravages of war, it can really be like trying to fish on a log.” Jiro finally brought up the idea of a siege.
Yasuko thought for a moment, “Yeah! It’s pretty hard if you’re not home all day.”
“Is there a third step?” His heart palpitated.
The girl flushed, “Yes! It’s just the conception of your love and mine.”
“That’s too early.” Jiro started, “Let’s take it one step at a time.”
“Don’t you have something on your mind? Tell me about it.” Yasuko pulled back to the subject, “I just got an honorable promotion and award, what else is there to worry about?”
“Did you see the news early this morning?” Kita swept her into her arms and fed the young girl a mouthful of sushi.
Yasuko chewed and swallowed, “Oh, I see. Is it that foreign steel bomb of unknown identity? Would the ‘Pupos’ be able to lose to it?”
“You’re so smart, you know everything at once. I don’t think it’s possible for me to lose to it, it’s just that, my superiors ordered me to obliterate it.”
“Erase command? That means you’ll have to go on another long journey, openly and secretly ah.”
“The expedition is small.” He lowered his volume, “The other side is a Chinese steel bullet.”
The girl was as shocked as Kita was when she first heard about it. Yasuko was also interested and lowered her voice: “China? I heard that… I thought they were a separate country that didn’t follow the steel bomb production line.”
“Steel bomb technology can be freely developed by all countries, but only the core technology shall not be copied from our country.
This is just like the computer technology of the 20th century, where the writing of the ‘Basic Input System’ firmware code (BI-OS) could not be copied from the US main factory, but could be compiled by each peripheral manufacturer (O-EM) to reach the same I/O standard, for the same reason. This is the same reasoning. What I’m trying to combat is steel bombs that are molded from illegal sources, and the Chinese Phantom Ultimate TD is not one of those.”
“It’s like this. Do you understand that in the military, orders are orders and can be discounted?”
“It is not possible. So…”
Yasuko chucked the sushi and fed it back to Kita, “Then don’t think so much about what you should do. Use that measuring tape in your heart to distinguish between good and evil, right and wrong. For the rest, leave it to the Divine to arrange.”
He smiled : “That’s right, do what you can.”
The two of them had a pleasant lunch, and trivialities were forgotten for the time being. …
Dragon God Town, neighboring Beijing, China. The Steel Bullet TD sailed into the secret underground base, and the chest bottom hatch opened, sending down four figures. It was Dinky and his group.
Ding Shaoyang, who had been waiting for a long time, raised his steps to greet him, “Xiao Qi, you’re back?”
The youth bowed in greeting, “Grandfather, I’ve worried you! Thanks to your blessing, I’m fine.”
“Are these three…?”
Dinky introduced the guests one by one, “This is the special envoy of the ‘Interstellar Confederation’-Mr. Bilove Garucci, this graceful and pretty girl is the envoy’s daughter-Miss Sina, and this is the envoy’s butler-Mr. Abby.”
The three men shook hands in Chinese etiquette, Ding Shao Yang introduced himself: “I am the grandfather of this child Ding Qi – Ding Shao Yang, is a professor of mechanical dynamics, currently idle at home, nothing to do.”
The envoy politely said, “Good point! Dr. Ding, you have a great reputation, and the previous envoy mentioned you to me. He said that you are one of the elders of the Earth’s scientific community, and that you are a rare talent.”
“Mr. Envoy, you are too kind. You have really entered the country and learned even our Chinese habit of wearing high hats for others.” The professor was silent.
Bilov laughed out loud, “I’m telling the truth! Mr. Ding, don’t get me wrong!” The two of them gave way, and Ding Shaoyang led his guest into the parlor.
Ding Qi served tea to the visitors, and the five of them sat down comfortably and leisurely.
“Xiao Qi! Tell me instead, how did you meet Lord Envoy’s family?” The professor could be really curious.
The youth then recounted the story in its entirety.
“Hahaha..! Xiao Qi, you’ve really helped the Chinese people out this time by making a scene in Washington DC!”
The young man scratched the back of his neck, “Grandpa, my grandson didn’t stir up anything, so I can’t talk about ‘making a scene.
Ah. It should have been the Japanese National Steel Bullet ‘Pupos’ that lifted Washington over.”
Sina smiled, “Professor Ding, you don’t know how heroic he was when he overcame the American armored division! He’s a far cry from what he is now!”
“Ms. Sina, did you just call my grandson… a single ‘ki’?”
The wonderful young woman felt fiercely embarrassed, and her bashful, hot beauty said it all.
“Kiki…?” The professor said.
“Yes…, Grandpa.” The youth sat upright.
“What’s going on?” Heavy level of questioning.
“Uh…” Now Dinky couldn’t get help.
Bilov stepped in, “Prof. Ding, my daughter Sina has fallen in love with your grandson at first sight. If you don’t want to give up, why don’t you let these two young people go out and see each other?”
“I can’t control their young people’s lifelong affairs, of course I agree. On the contrary, there is something important, Xiao Qi, you look after yourself.” Ding Shaoyang laughed again.
“Grandpa, what is it?”
“Yunru will be coming to Beijing tomorrow around noon, you have to pick up the plane.”
“Yunru she’s coming? That’s great wow!”
Sina hurriedly asked, “Ki, who is Yunru again? Is it a girl’s name?”
The Doctor took a sip of tea, “Miss Sina, Miss Yunru is just as fond of our Xiaoqi as you are. In other Earthling terms, the two of you are called ‘love rivals’.”
“Enemies in love? That’s ‘enemy in love’ Lo?” Sina looked up the ‘Common Earth Vocabulary’ electronic dictionary.
Professor Ding smiled and nodded his head: “Earth humans’ love affairs are probably the most competitive in the entire universe. Ms. Sina, you won’t give in, will you?”
The young girl laughed flirtatiously, “Professor, people know this very well. I will never admit defeat! So… may I also call you Grandpa Ding?” The words were soft and flowery.
“Why not? Ms. Sina, your pleasant voice is so tiresome to hear, I’m quite flattered!” Ding Shao Yang received another free granddaughter.
“Grandpa! Grandpa! …” Sina cried many times, begging for favor. The doctor was overjoyed.
Dinky laughed bitterly. As soon as Yunru arrived, together with Sina, his good days were about… At noon on the second day, Beijing International Airport.
Guan Yunru stepped off the passenger spacecraft with gusto, holding her luggage lightly as she passed through the transit hall.
She scrutinized the paper in her hand, which bore the address of Dinky’s residence.
“Yunru!” The young girl heard the voice she most wanted to hear again in her dreams.
She raised her skull to see a familiar form, “Brother Ding? Did you personally run to pick me up?” The girl waved sharply.
The youth came running, “Beijing is so big that I was afraid you might get lost, so of course I had to come over. I’ll carry your luggage for you.”
“Thanks Lo! Beijing International Airport has changed a lot again. I almost ran to the wrong exit.”
“Luckily I made it, it would have been bad to miss it. Yunru, you’re so beautifully dressed! Did any handsome guys hit on you along the way?”
“Yes, there is! But you’re the first person I’ve ever paid attention to.” She crowed.
Not far away stood a charming and gorgeous girl, smiling and greeting Yunru.
“Brother Ding, is she…? Do people recognize her?” The Chinese girl asked.
He smiled faintly, “Oh, she’s a new friend.”
‘Just a friend? She’s a little too sweet and charming, isn’t she?’ Something wasn’t right.
Sina took the initiative to approach, “Hello! You’re Ms. Guan Yunru? Nice to meet you.”
A young girl’s innate sixth sense – whoever is coming is not good. Yunru sniffed out ‘hostility’.
First contact, politeness is indispensable. The two stunning beauty each embraced wariness, each other do not seedlings, deliberately carefully decorated themselves, clearly is to declare on Ding Qi ‘sovereignty’.
Greetings over, mutual bottoming out.
“My surname is Guan, my name is Yunru, I’m from Taipei, Taiwan. I’m sixteen years old this year, and I’m still in senior high school. Brother Ding is my ‘boyfriend’ and I’m here to see him.”
“I’m Sina Garucci, an alien of sorts, unlike you. I’m also sixteen years old, and I was attending Washington Public High School, but I had to drop out for some reason. Ms. Yunru, Ki is not your boyfriend, he’s ‘mine’.”
The two beauties’ two pairs of snowy crystal pupils stared angrily at each other, stirring up a flash of light. The youth immediately blocked their line of sight, “It’s inconvenient in public, let’s go back and talk again!” He snorted, and the atmosphere was not stifled again.
Dinky asked Abby to help carry the luggage, he lived in the middle of the carcass of Yun Ru, Sina jam, hoping to cushion the fire of the quick burst of war, lest the big battle is about to break out.
He drove the door first let the girls into the seat, Guan Yunru sit in front, Silk Na bit back seat. Ding Qi acted as a driver, right, after the two girls face cold as ice cream, long time without saying a word.
“Yunru, what’s wrong? Not even talking?” Dinky asked timidly.
“Hmph! Brother Ding, we haven’t seen each other for only a few days, and there’s a girl who’s been joining the shameful world, trying to compete with others for you? Why don’t you weigh yourself? That girl is really out of her depth!” The Chinese girl was the first to fire.
The alien beauty also said back: “Is there any mistake? What kind of a person goes around identifying boyfriends? Ki, it’s said that the Earthlings have the most open rules of love, and anyone can have a chance before it’s finalized, right? It’s precisely because of the ‘fair play’ label that the earthlings have immortalized love for ages.”
“What do you alien creatures know? …” Yun Ru was unimpressed and expressed her opinion again.
Sina chirped, “Earthling, you’re the one who’s talking nonsense…” and talked about what she knew.
The young man learned that ‘silence is golden’, and watched these two great beauties fight. It seemed that the future was going to be a long way off…
Phantom Ultimate Steel Bullet TD – Beacon Justice
Chapter 2 – Nightfall! The Call of Artemis─Chapter of the City of the Moon Watch (II) After Yunru settled down at her residence, at 1:00 p.m. on the following day, Ding Qi, Guan Yunru, Sina, and Robot Abby arrived at the cargo area of the Beijing International Airport with Dr. Ding’s vague memories.
Many companies have been established here to transport valuable and delicate goods to the colonized cities of the solar system and the outer universe, and the quality of their products varies, making the battle in the shopping mall particularly fierce.
Ding Shaoyang provides the address of a delivery company set up by his good friend, but is not quite sure. It’s been a while, and it’s hard for an honest man to beat a scheming businessman, “Xiaoqi, you guys go and try your luck. Just be careful, there’s a lot of snakes and dragons out there.” His advice.
The two young girls grabbed it and said, “We want to go too!”
“It’s rather unsafe for a girl’s family to try to go.” The professor advised.
“We won’t be afraid, Brother Ding will protect us, oh~?” Yunru and Sina looked at Dinky in unison. Non-appearance.
Dinky giggled innocently. The rightful protector.
The girls decided that the sooner the better, and they decided to leave after lunch.
The four men marched down the kneaded, noisy, dirty steel-brick road, walking and stopping. Container trucks ran back and forth, busy and comatose, their voices incessant.
“Brother Ding, Silna, are you sure this is the right path?” Yunru looked to her left and right, her delicate eyes brimming, and she was surrounded by despicable porters, with frivolous whistles coming from time to time.
Sina took the young girl’s catkin hand, “Don’t be afraid, Yunru. With Qi and I here, no one will dare bully us.”
It’s strange how the relationship between Guan Yunru and Sina has changed for the better. After Ding Qi drove Yun Ru home, the young man asked Dr. Ding and the Special Envoy what to do.
Ding Shaoyang laughed: “Simple, let Sina, Yunru sleep in the same room just one night, their relationship is bound to improve.”
“Oh? Grandpa, the effect is that amazing?” Ding Qi was greatly confused.
“Yunru and Sina’s personalities are by no means jealous; they are both innocent, understanding girls who will take the initiative to care about other people’s feelings. Besides, when they met for the first time, their hearts were only tangled in knots for a short time, and it was easy to dismantle them. Put them together, in order to show their goodwill, will want to break the deadlock. Therefore, as long as one party pulls down the face, the other party is impossible to ignore accordingly.
“The Doctor’s demeanor is like a lecture.
The envoy nodded, ”Sina she doesn’t get petty and is very cheerful in nature. As long as the other party is open and sincere, even if they are her ‘love rivals’, she will make an exception and treat them as close friends.
“A fair word may be said.
“It seems to make sense! Grandfather, Lord Envoy, I’ll go get ready.” After excusing himself, Dinky immediately carried the young girl’s traveling bag to the guest room where Sina was sleeping.
“Come in!” Sina replied.
Dinky pulled his luggage in. “Isn’t that Ms. Kwan’s luggage? Don’t… I don’t want it!”
The alien beauty reacted pretty quickly.
“Sina, this is the only room with a double bed; all the other rooms are occupied by men and are single. I can’t make room, I’m sorry!” The youth explained, apologizing repeatedly.
Sweet girl Yan Yin: “Or how about this! I’d rather choose to sleep with you.” She blinked her eyes.
“That won’t do! It’s not in keeping with Chinese etiquette!” The young man flatly refused the temptation.
“I’m not afraid, Qi, what are you afraid of?” Her body next to his shoulder and elbow, compulsion soft honey marvelous jade voice.
The young man shook his head and replied that he would do anything she wanted, but that was the only thing that got in the way.
Sina giggled, “Okay! I’m not going to tease you. Qi, people do not want to make things difficult for you, Miss Guan if you want to live here, you are the host, guests of course, as the host Luo.”
The first hurdle was passed. He went back to his study and asked Yunru to come out, “Yunru, you’ll have to share a room with Sina for the night, and Sina would be happy to have you. Since there are only two guest rooms next door – one for Mr. Envoy and Abby – there’s really no way around it. Unless I move out of the bedroom into the living room or study, you can have the room.”
“Brother Ding, this is your home, how can I let you sleep in the living room? Well…” the young Chinese girl smiled coyly, “if you don’t mind, we can squeeze in!”
How come the two beautiful women have the same opinion of each other? I don’t know if Ting Qi is a lucky man? Or is it just that the heavens are about to send down a great task to a man of his caliber?
“Yunru, you’re a girl, this is too dangerous. And how am I going to explain to Uncle Guan and Auntie Guan in the future?”
The girl’s lips murmured, “That’s true. Anyway, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future…” What does that mean…?
After the youth guided Guan Yunru into the guest room, slightly easing the awkward occasion of their meeting again, he politely exited the doorway.
‘I hope Grandpa’s opinion is correct, or else…’ he privately prayed to himself.
They sat on either side of the bed, not speaking, and both of them were patient, looking in different directions. Five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes… Kwan Yun-yul, who was bored out of her mind, spoke up first: “I don’t want to be in a room with a log, it’s so boring.”
“Miss Guan, who are you calling a log? Speak clearly!” Sina couldn’t hold her breath.
The Earth girl replied, “I’m talking about you, aren’t I? The only lifeforms that exist on the planet Buffyna are those that don’t talk?”
“No wonder, statistically speaking, eight to ninety percent of what the people of Earth say is not true! It’s all because of loudmouths like you, isn’t it?” The alien waif retaliated in no uncertain terms.
Yunru laughed, her beautiful jowls shaking.
“What are you laughing at?” Sina asked, sitting up and glowering with newfound curiosity.
The dark-haired girl was marred by the fact that her body was lying on the soft mattress: “No more games! The Marco Polo team is a great group of people who are looking for a way to get in! I’m not sure if you’re going to be able to get away with it, but I’m sure you’ll be able to get away with it. He will think we’re not cute, and he’ll think we’re not even cute enough for him to understand. He’ll think we’re unlovable and our image will be shattered. Instead of wasting time, why don’t we call a truce tonight? Is that okay?”
Sina also simply fell into the center of the bed, her blue hair splashed like a waterfall. She moved to the happy face, “good suggestion, yo! If we keep going on like this, we’ll never get anywhere. But how should we decide who owns Ki?”
“As you said at noon – it’s all a ‘free-for-all’ – whoever has the skill, Ding Da is his. It’s only a matter of time before we can win his heart.” The Chinese girl concluded succinctly.
The envoy’s daughter thought for a moment, “Yun-Ru, I have feelings that I don’t know if I should talk about…”
“Tell me about it.”
“I think Chita… he likes us ‘equally’ and ‘very much’. It’s just that he’s not very good at showing it in words.”
“Eh, I feel the same way. The two of us are indistinguishable again.” Yun Ru Wan crowed.
“Then… let’s put it this way! We’ll start by sharing the ‘jurisdiction’ and ‘supervision’ of Ki.
And it is for the God of Time to take his time in determining to whom his heart belongs.”
Oriental maiden recognized: “Good, flush love equal status. We will keep the gentleman’s fight, urgent attention to our lover, do not let go, exchange of information. Hee, this is Tsubaki quite interesting, fresh and strange method oh!”
“A gentleman’s quarrel? En, it seems so. We’ll talk about that later.” The alien girl thought about the meaning of those four words─even if she didn’t use the ultimate means, she could still make Yun Ru retreat.
The two beauties shook hands and reached an agreement, easing the hostility a little and creating a new contract of cooperation. For the time being, they became close friends with no inhibitions, and spent the whole night chatting endlessly in the room…
How long can such an ‘illusion’ of peace last? As soon as one of the two sides ‘crosses the line’, a new battle will be ignited. No one can tell, but the question remains – a love fight between two sweet girls.
Thus, the delicate friendship between Sina Garucci and Guan Yunru unfolded. The most pitiful of all was Tinky, who was kept in the dark – unaware that she was being ‘split up and sold off’.
“‘Guangya Interstellar Transportation Company’…? Grandpa Ting wouldn’t remember it wrong, would he?” The alien girl was a bit skeptical.
The youth’s index finger stroked his nose, “Grandpa’s memory is awesome, the microdisc version of the ‘Encyclopedia Britannica’, he’s only seen it once, and he’s memorized it all.”
Sina lowered her pretty skull again to check the ‘encyclopedia’ for word meanings, “Wow! Kee, Grandpa Ting is so good.” No more sound.
“Brother Ding, the warehouse workers loading and unloading goods seem to be gathering around…” The young Chinese girl tugged lightly on the young man’s sleeve, her face lost in color.
Dinky measured his surroundings out of the corner of his eye, the sound of footsteps, there were a lot of people coming.
A procession of about 40 or 50 workers ringed the youth and the other four in each direction of the way out.
“Hey! Young man, are you looking down on us bachelors by hanging around here with two such beautiful and sweet girls in your arms?” The strongest worker at the head of the group yelled in a muffled voice, obviously the leader of the group.
The young man used his arms to protect Sina’s and Yunru’s shoulders, “Gentlemen, I didn’t mean that, you misunderstood. We are just looking for a company, I wonder if you could tell us?”
The head worker laughed evilly, “Want to ask for directions? OK! Those two beautiful girls will stay with our brothers, and I will lead you to find them! Otherwise, forget it!”
“I’m sorry, but I’m afraid that’s too much…” Dingqi’s tone turned hard, “If you all don’t let me pass, I won’t be blamed for your rudeness!”
“Oh? There are forty or so of us, and you’re just one…?” The worker leader’s tone was ambiguous.
The youth’s voice shaped like a bell, “Is that so?” It was like hundreds of people shouting in unison.
The young man recited the ‘Split Law’ mantra, his body was like a single-celled organism reproducing and splitting in phantom production, and in an instant, he copied more than forty Dinki as if they were fake! The columns were lined up in a circle.
“Oh my..! What a strange thing to do!” The transportation workers, who had never seen such a scene before, were so shocked that they dispersed, crawling, running and jumping in a funny manner.
Ding Qi retracted the spell, and dozens of people immediately folded back into their original form, without any difference. A pair of colorful girls watching from the sidelines had already laughed so hard that their branches were trembling and they were tilting their heads.
Sina couldn’t help but rant: “A bunch of horny cowards! Leave them alone! They won’t bother us again, will they?”
“It’s best not to come, or else… or else you’ll get beaten up…” the dark-haired girl replied as she cried out in a marvelous voice.
Abby, the cyborg with excellent eyesight, reached out and pointed, “Hey! Found it! Isn’t it right there?”
Well, really. ‘Guangya Interstellar Transportation Company’ – a small, laser-assembled sign that didn’t really stand out.
The automatic door opened, and the alien beauty, the Oriental girl, warbled, “Excuse me, is anyone there? There is business on the door!”
They chanted several times in succession, and a series of mellow, practiced male voices responded: “Here it comes! I’m coming! Please wait for me, guests.”
A middle-aged man stepped out from the semi-pale gray celestial light, “Welcome! Welcome! I am one of our company’s business representatives, my name is Zhu, a single name with the character Qiang.” He habitually pulled out his business card card and handed it out to Ding Qi and the others.
The youth looked at the card carefully, “May I ask if the head of your company, Mr. Chen Guangya, is still in charge of everything?” He had to know.
“Mr. Chen is my boss, yes. Our company was purchased by the largest ‘Runfu’ group in the country, which is a subsidiary under its name, and is subject to the consortium’s control and supervision, as well as the division of responsibilities and profits. All of the company’s key executives have gone to the head office for a meeting, leaving me in charge.” He casually clicked on the light source.
“So… Mr. Zhu, do you know Mr. Ding Shaoyang?”
“Ah! Just kidding! How could I not know Dr. Ding’s great name? We’ve been doing business with each other for a long time, so we’re kind of friends, and I personally respect him very much. What, you and the professor…?”
“I’m not going to lie, but I am the grandson of none other than the Doctor.”
“Disrespect! Out of respect! Ah, just gossiping, please sit down, all four of you.”
Zhu Qiang remote control four movable tables and chairs, moved to the positioning, greeted the customer to sit down.
The middle-aged man obtained the registration form from the table, “Mr. Ding, you were introduced by the doctor?
All the expenses of the company 25% discount favorable treatment, this I can make the decision.” He took out a pen and prepared to fill in the information.
“I would like to send a heavy item to ‘Artemis’ in one of the three major lunar surface metropolises, plus five passengers.” Dinky asked. (Editor’s note: “Artemis” is the name of the goddess of the moon in Greek mythology.)
‘Artemis’ is the closest to Earth most of the time, as it is directly opposite to Earth, and is also the base where Lazori-Leo’s next-generation steel bomb ‘Sayna’ is located; the other two cities, ‘Athena The other two cities, Athena and Luna, are located on the backside of the moon. The three cities have one thing in common – the majority of the people of the three cities dislike the UCOE, and demonstrations and riots against the Pan-Earth Coalition often take place.
Zhu Qiang thought for a moment, “Mr. Ding, that side is defined by our industry as a ‘Tier 1 Turbulence Hazardous Area’, and based on the safety of you and your cargo, I would suggest that you should not move forward to avoid suffering any unknown losses.”
“Mr. Zhu, thank you for your kindness. However, I was entrusted by someone and had to go.
I am willing to absorb all additional premiums, possible damages, etc., on my own.”
“Since you insist, I’m not at liberty to be long-winded. Please tell me the general contents of the goods I am to ship.” Zhu Qiang smiled.
Dinky describes the size, weight, and precautions to be taken when carrying a mobile warrior, but does not explicitly say that it is a ‘steel bullet’ that makes people scared.
“What do I have to put as the name of the contents of the delivery? Mr. Ting?” The business representative asked in a singularly white voice.
The youth was busy winking at the other two wonderfully sweet girls. Sina responded quickly, “Then just fill in ‘Rare Heavy Machinery’!” Quirky term.
The middle-aged man wrote as he was told, “What an interesting statement. But will customs agree?” A shrewd businessman doesn’t ask about the true nature of the object being sent on his behalf.
“Mr. Zhu, can I not go through customs, please?” Yunru spoke. Her concerns were very proper.
“Of course, there are ways to do it. The only thing is that the shipping cost will be quite a bit more…” Zhu Qiang added this proviso to the note, and the billing was recalculated.
The representative of the business made an offer. The young men and girls deliberated for a while and felt that the risk was quite high and that it was indeed worth the price. The business is declared done.
The middle-aged man looked at the ship’s schedule, “Tomorrow at three o’clock in the afternoon, there happens to be a shuttle returning here from Jupiter. After it is inspected and loaded, it departs for the moon watch at three fifty-five. Therefore, our company is scheduled to pick up the shipment at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow and receive the first payment…” He paused for breath, “Is it to ‘Dragon God Town’?”
The youth’s face turned suddenly, “How do you know? Mr. Zhu?”
“Dr. Ting has entrusted us with the transportation of parts and devices for his previous projects. If the professor can trust us, I think you can trust us as well. Besides, we will follow the rules of the trade and never disclose anything.” Zhu Qiang seemed to know a little about the commissioned goods.
“The final payment will be collected at your destination. If you wish to return to Earth, we have branches in all the major colonies, so there will be no problem dispatching the ship, and it will not be stretched to the limit. As always, business is kept strictly confidential.” He handed Dinky a list of the addresses of the company’s subsidiaries.
Zhu Qiang sent out the young man and the other four, “Our company will receive and deliver the goods on time and will not delay your precious time.” He assured.
Dinchy exchanged hands with him and thanked him, “I’ll be troubling your company then.” Leading Silna and the girls away, the matter of heading for the moon was finalized.
The four hit the road and Dinky drove as usual.
“So, Sina, as soon as you and Mr. Bilove get to Artemis, you’ll find a way to escape to Pluto, which is guarded by the Interplanetary Confederacy?” The Chinese girl was a little pleased–wouldn’t Dinky be all hers?
The blue-haired girl cried out, “I discussed this with my father – he’s going to Pluto, and I’m staying here with Qi.” The pretty body language then stated – ‘Guan Yunru, I won’t let you have Ding Qi, don’t daydream’!
“Huh? What’s going on? You’re not leaving? You…” Yun Hui, who was sitting in the front seat, was furious.
Sina said defiantly, “Hey, where I want to go is completely my freedom! What do you care, Yunru?” She and the Earth girl were at each other’s throats.
The youth drove the car with trepidation, not spitting a word, not daring to breathe a breath. He understands the tragic consequences of speaking out at this moment. Ruiru and Sina put aside their ‘ceasefire agreement’ and engage in a war of words and eloquence, while little Abby closes her hearing loop and keeps her ears closed. Dinky couldn’t do anything about it, so he had to turn the radio knob to play soft music, but it still didn’t reduce the power of the girls’ argument. I can’t tell you what I’m going to do…
As soon as the young man returned home, he immediately reported to Ding Shaoyang and Special Envoy Biluo about the negotiations. “Yes, Mr. Envoy, it’s all done. The trip will take place tomorrow afternoon.” Ding Qi replied.
“Thank you, Mr. Ting, you’ve been a real help to me and my little girl!” The envoy corresponded, “Did Sina tell you about her having to stay by your side?”
“Yes… yes.” The youth wanted to speak.
Bilov laughed: “So you’re going to call me ‘Dad’ soon, aren’t you? Haha…” He stifled his laughter, “To be honest, as a father, I’m a little jealous – Sina is not as good a ‘boyfriend’ to me as you are to her. Isn’t that the case with men and women on Earth?”
The Doctor on the side looked at Dinky’s distress, “Mr. Envoy, please spare my grandson.
He is now so charmed by these two gorgeous and superb girls that he doesn’t know what he is doing, not exactly competing with you for Miss Sina’s favor.”
“Brother Shaoyang, my daughter is considered half of your granddaughter, you have to be on my side, don’t make Silna unhappy!” The envoy cherished his daughter after all.
The professor turned back to the young man and said, “Xiaoqi, did you hear that? If either Sina or Yunru is wronged or aggrieved, Grandpa will take you to task!”
Ding Qi panicked and said, “Yes…! I understand!” He then explained his itinerary for tomorrow and hurriedly claimed that he was fleeing for his life.
As soon as he went up the stairs, he saw Yunru, Sina sub jade standing on the two sides of the door of his room, looking at each other, folded lotus root arms, must be the rest of the anger has not yet subsided.
The youth walked to the center of the girls and raised both arms to support their shoulders, “What’s wrong? Aren’t you done arguing?”
The two beauties pointed at their rivals and yelled, “It’s all her fault! You have to do justice for her!”
“Didn’t your relationship just get better?” Dinky mediated, forcing a smile.
“It was Sina who said she wanted to stay! I thought you’d be mine when she left. She didn’t keep her word! Trying to take you over! What kind of person is that? A new type of person who thinks she’s from a highly civilized planet? Hmph!” Yunru nonchalantly stated the other party’s ‘sins’.
The alien girl retorted, “I’m just in love with Dinky! So what? Yun Ru, even God can’t limit who people can love, right? Dinky isn’t yours alone! Is that ‘hogging’? You went to one of the most prestigious schools on earth, how come you’re not good enough for that?”
The girls rushed forward and grabbed each other by the necklines of their shirts, quickly turning into a full-blown fight: “What? You want to fight? I’m not afraid of you!” “Come on! For the sake of Kee, we’ll fight!” The swords are drawn.
The young man quickly urged a fight, flicking away from the dangerous contact between the beautiful women. “Enough! That’s enough! Will you two please behave like ladies? If Grandpa and the others find out about this, it will break the elders’ hearts.” He finally intervened.
“Brother Ding…” “Qi…” The girls fell silent, their delicate heads drooping, their jade eyes rising in a sea of tears, sobbing vaguely.
Dinky wrapped his arms around their soft waists, and Silna and Yunru fell into his right and left shoulders obediently. “Yunru, Silna, I didn’t mean to scold you guys. You guys have been so good to me, I have no teeth to forget. It’s just that, where do we meet in life? It’s not easy for the three of us to meet and know each other, and bickering all day long will damage the destiny we should cherish. Just ask, for the sake of interest, you force others away, friends turn against each other. Regardless of what you get, or even any benefit at all, what is the point?”
He wiped away with his fingers the tears of love that were dripping from the two girls, and the maidens took the young man’s palm and kissed the back of it.
“Is that what you think? Brother Ding?” Yun Ru caressed his pectoral muscles, and sighed sadly, “I’m sorry, I only thought of my own feelings. I didn’t even think about you…”
The alien blue-haired girl boldly touched Dinky’s neck, “I’m a selfish girl… but isn’t it true that selfishness is the most important element in love? The strong desire for exclusivity makes me want to fly away with you forever… I can’t resist this thought… I really can’t…”
“I cannot rest for a moment until the peaceful rule of the solar system, of the earth, has come.
Sina, Yunru, will you accompany me on my journey?”
The two extremely pretty maidens nodded heartily, “Eh! We will definitely be with you, forever! We will take care of your universe-loving heart…”
“So… can we stop arguing?”
They waved their fragrant heads in a rather unspoken agreement, “It’s probably hard, unless ‘she’ gives up first!”
The two great beauties make flirty faces at their love rivals, and neither one loses.
Well, at least he prevented a fight. It was a long battle in which TD’s ‘steel bullets’ were useless. Dinki, there’s still a lot of headaches ahead…
“Mommy? It’s me, Yunru.” Guan Yunru borrowed the youth study to call home to report that she was safe.
Wan Yi said: “Yes, did you have a good time? Is Xiaoqi treating you well?”
“It’s great!” She smiled sweetly, “I ~love~ it~! But…”
“Well? What’s the but?” Mother was concerned.
“It’s just that there’s competition!”
“Which girl is so ungrateful? Dare to rob with you?” Righteousness among women.
The girl said uneasily, “She’s an alien. Frankly speaking, she’s so beautiful! It’s a lot of pressure to compete with her side by side.”
“Yunru, where is your confidence as a woman of the Guan family? You are one of the most beautiful and outstanding girls in the whole China High School, with excellent grades and behavior. No matter where you look in China or Asia, there are very few girls who can compete with you, why are you afraid of her?”
“That’s true… Mom, you’ve never met her, you don’t understand the pressure source of that type of proximity. She’s the only young girl I can see as a formidable enemy, and I can’t find another.”
Wan Yi cheered, “Yunru, mom has faith in you! Remember, if you want to catch happiness, you don’t just pull its tail, but try your best to hold on to it; if it slips away and you want to recover it, you don’t have to mention the effort, and the opportunity is no longer there.” She was worried that the same mistake she made 17 years ago at Peking University would be repeated by her daughter.
“People understand. Mom, I love you.”
“Good girl! Mom loves you too.”
“That’s right. Mommy, tomorrow I’m going to the Moonwatch city of ‘Artemis’ with Brother Ding, so you don’t need to worry about them. I will take good care of myself and Big Brother Ding.”
“That’s a war powder magazine over there! Yunru, do you really want to…”
“Mom, I’m old enough to pay attention to my surroundings. With Brother Ding with me, I don’t have to worry about anything. Please tell Dad that my daughter is happy and doing well.”
Mother and daughter talked again and again, a long time before hanging up the phone. Guan Yunru’s eyes overflowed with tears.
Dinky walked into the room, “Is Auntie okay with you coming with us? Yunru?”
She cried. The young man hugged and comforted the young girl, “I know you’re homesick and won’t force you.”
“Mom did agree. But she was so sad to see her go, she kept telling her to be careful…”
“Yunru, you and Sina are my first priority, and even if I lose my life, I’ll be there for you. Trust me, okay?” He leaned down and kissed her forehead.
“I…, Brother Ding…, I love you…” The young girl leaned into his embrace and cried out in deep sorrow and admiration
The following day at 10:30 sharp. The freight company sent a super-large container truck to pick up the cargo. Tingqi assisted in the loading of the cargo, and sent the steel bullets, which were fully wrapped and inspected, into the container with a tractor arm, witnessing the unobjectionable and damage-free process.
Ding Shaoyang paid the advance payment, “Then I’ll trouble you two to transport it properly and return to the moon safely, and never fail to ensure that nothing goes wrong.”
“Doctor, you’ve worked with us more than once or twice, you should know how creditworthy we are.
Please be at peace! Original cargo on board, original cargo off board.” The shipping worker said.
The professor watched the delivery truck leave, he looked up at the azure sky, “Xiao Qi, when you arrive at ‘Artemis’, pay attention to the local situation. If it is not necessary, don’t casually clash with the UCOE army. Understand?”
“What… what if the people of Wolmapo City and the UCOE garrison start a fight?”
“Lazorie Leo’s next-generation steel bullet, ‘Sayna,’ is out there, and the UCOE has silenced it. However, with confirmed information from powerful sources, the ‘Pan-Earth Synergy’
After assembling 30,000 land and air troops at the base in Canberra, Australia, they are preparing to depart to the three lunar surface cities for a strong attack and suppression. I’ve heard that they’re pulling out tomorrow.”
“The general situation is bad! The Moonwatch Colony is not in jeopardy.”
“So, I don’t encourage you to get into positive disagreements and fight with them.”
“You can take on the UCOE’s Manpang army with the Steel Bullet ‘Saina’ alone? Those soldiers don’t even spare the weak and the old!”
“The UCOE has invested a lot of money in the development of new types of fighters, and has produced a decent model – the ‘Raya Leaf’. Its capability is seven to eight times that of an ordinary Bagouli, and it can still fight with steel bombs for a few rounds, but it’s not quite as good as it should be.” Ding Shaoyang slightly described the appearance of this machine.
Its shape was copied from the French Mirage 2,000 of the 20th century, with strengthened entanglement, climbing power, and torque, and the range of aerial combat extended from the atmosphere to outer space, making it an all-weather, unlimited fighter aircraft.
“‘Laya Leaf’? If you run into it, you’ll have to learn it.”
“Xiaoqi, the safety of the envoy must come first; naturally, the blessed site of the inhabitants of the Moonwatch Colony is also a duty you cannot afford to shirk.”
The youth bowed and replied, “Grandson understands!”
At 3:50 p.m., Barov, Sina, Abby, Yunru, and Dinky boarded the passenger and cargo shuttle and made their pre-departure maneuvers.
The pilot and co-pilot of the shuttle were both fat and thin middle-aged men. The co-pilot first said, “As you have requested that we not go through customs inspection, we have to take a long detour to cross the Earth’s airspace from Outer Mongolia, avoiding the many barriers of the UCOE, and arrive at our destination – the lunar surface city of ‘Artemis’. We have a reservation time of thirteen hours. Please allow for any inconvenience. The co-pilot’s report is complete.”
At three fifty-five, the shuttle jet inspired. “Five passengers, we are now departing immediately!”
The nose of the freighter lifted off vertically and turned northwest to avoid the air checkpoint set up by the UCOE. “Next stop, Outer Mongolia first. It’ll be a five-minute stop.”
Dinky asked the envoy, “Lord Envoy, what is the identity of your friend in the Moonwatch City?
Can you really protect your political asylum?”
“He is the military attaché of the ‘Interplanetary Confederation’ on the Moon – Bunru Krauss – and is in charge of an independent force of about five hundred men, directly belonging to the Confederation.”
Sina went on to say, “Uncle Banglu loves me very much and is a good man with integrity and sincerity. He’s very similar to you, Ki.”
“That sounds believable. However, when we get there, I’m afraid I’m going to have to resort to steel-bombing TDs again.” The young Chinese man sighed.
Guan Yunru sweetly chanted, “Isn’t there already a steel bullet, ‘Sayina’? It is the symbol of the will of all the people in the Moon Colony. Someone from the Moonwatch base mentioned that it’s very powerful!
Brother Ding, since it existed long ago, why do you need to take a shot at it?”
Dinky then relayed what he had heard from his grandfather to the other four.
“So…, Brother Ding, are you afraid that the ‘Saina’ won’t be able to resist the UCOE’s special forces?” The Chinese girl predicted.
“Just in case. If the battle breaks out, the three lunar bases cannot afford to lose; the UCOE is determined to win, and is ready to fight – and whichever side loses, a new force will emerge in the universe to take the place of the current resistance forces in all of the Lunar Colonies – perhaps a new underground army, or even a coalition of the other planetary colonies – and the way in which this situation evolves will determine the leverage of the colonies over the Earth. “
Sina and Yun cried in the same voice: “Do you want to break this lever?”
“I have no doubt that the Steelball TD can do this. The conflict between the colonies and Earth must end, and if it continues, only the warlords will benefit, and the general public will suffer. The opportunity to do so lies in the Steel Bombs, either in existence or under construction.”
“Chie, as strong as steel bullets are, a lone tree can’t support the big picture!” Biluo nailed the point.
The young man understood, “I will do my best, Lord Envoy. This is what I can do – a small contribution to the people who have lost their lives in the various wars, the orphaned children who are waiting to be fed, the frail old man, and the widow who looks up to the heavens and wails. Even if I die in battle, even if my body is torn to pieces, I want the spirit of the ‘steel bullet’ to live on.”
The two girls wiped away their tears. Yunru forced herself to look cheerful and pulled herself together: “Don’t say that kind of thing first! Brother Ding, you will succeed.”
“That’s right! Qi, people and Yunru will always be your best moral support!” The alien girl also Qian Yin said.
“Yunru, Silna, it is a great honor in my life to make your acquaintance.” Dinki was deeply touched. …
Two hours later, the shuttle stopped in Outer Mongolia, where a desert storm interfered with visibility and magnetic pilotage, causing a delay in takeoff.
Sina turned her jowls to steal a glance at Dinky beside her. Guan Yunru coincidentally cast her eyes toward her lover. Beauty people’s eyes on each other, the drums of war are beating again. It’s not so bad if you don’t see it, but the two young girls’ desire for love can spark off a single flame, but it’s enough to start a huge fire…
The young Chinese man hoped with all his heart that the bad weather would soon pass, but his mission was more than that. The call of Artemis, the god of the moon, echoed in the ears of the young man, whose blood was boiling.
The muddy times are waiting to be refreshed by the hands of steel bullet pilots. The power of the young and the young should not be ignored – because they can turn the world upside down and the clouds upside down!
The times have tested them. Can they really create the times?
The wheel of time is never out of order, only the foolishness of human greed is out of order, and it is not the phantom in the mirror that is destroying itself, is it not?
What was the era of steel bullets? …
Phantom Ultimate Steel Bullet TD – Beacon Justice
Chapter 2 – Nightfall! The Call of Artemis – Lunar Cities Chapter (3) The space shuttle slid into the 18th channel area of the Moon, and the tower guide spoke: “This is the Lunar Cities Joint Command 108 tower. Please state the identity of your aircraft and the purpose of your visit, so that we can lead you in preventing the impact of the Leonid meteor shower, which occurs once every hundred years.”
“This aircraft is standard class shuttle CH1307 dispatched by China’s ‘Guangya Interstellar Transportation Company’, access code PU478561, purpose – to unload metallic materials at ‘Artemis’. No armed capability.” The co-pilot replied.
“Identity check in progress…” the tower informed, “confirmed! There is no energy activity in the cargo scan, we can pass. Please proceed with the tower’s beam, and keep your course angle 2.1 degrees down and your heading 10.2 degrees off. You will be passing through the Neutral Zone between this colony and the UCOE garrison, be aware of anti-aircraft fire from both sides.”
The pilot of the cargo plane replied, “Thanks for the reminder. Angle and heading corrected as indicated! Speed reduced by fifteen percent, reaction engine output eight percent!”
The pilot slid steadily into the cargo shuttle. Envoy Bilof asked through the radio microphone, “Gentlemen, don’t the colonies or the UCOE garrison do any security checks on passing merchant ships?”
“Mr. Bilove, the situation in the colony is tense right now – the Underground Army, the UCOE regulars, who are all holding their positions – and as long as the ships are not military or carrying energy-responsive commodities, the bilaterals won’t be distracted from controlling incoming and outgoing vessels.”
The Special Envoy turned off the communication and sighed, “The situation has evolved to such a state. Luckily, we disassembled the ‘Steel Bomb’ beforehand, and have eliminated any concerns about releasing the energy used. If we had been discovered, it would have been a disaster!”
“Brother Ding, what should we do once we arrive in ‘Artemis’?” The young Chinese girl, Miao Yin, said.
“First, find a hiding place to reassemble ‘Asura Zeus’, then send Lord Envoy to a friend to receive shelter; lastly, think of a way to suppress this great catastrophe that will destroy the three major metropolises of the Moon’s surface.” Ding Qi’s mind was made up.
Sina brushed her hand through her hair, “So, the ‘Steel Bullet’ TD will show up in Jatmis? Ugh… Is it going to be another brutal bloodbath?”
The youth smiled, ”War is inevitable. Since we can’t ‘give up without a fight’, we’ll have to ‘attack the city from underneath’ and fight with war. In my heart I do not wish for that, Sina.”
Looking back over human history, war is almost the most effective tool for changing the ecology; politics, society, people’s livelihoods, and culture are all thus washed away, recreated and reborn in the quagmire left behind by the receding floodwaters. The use of war is often the most radical and reckless means, a ‘no-plan’, a primitive way of convincing people by force, or even depriving others of their right to life and residence.
The beauty of war is celebrated by dictators, but only in the sense that it is deified as a landscape that will influence the next thousand years, as a vision of the future — how can we build without destroying completely? But I fear that no one will ever again hear the rumbling of machinery laying foundations and breaking ground in the bones of the wilderness. The so-called construction is the fruit of vested interests; the sustenance comes from the carrion of the buried mound. The dirge of life is for heaven’s ears only.
The shuttle landed on the tarmac, unloaded the cargo, counted it, and the money was paid. “Mr. Ding, if you still need our services, please be sure to let us know.” The cargo company employee was polite.
“That’s for sure, the two of you have worked hard.” Ding Qi sent the two away.
The only thing left to do was to reorganize the ‘Steel Bullet’ TD back to its original form. Bilove, Sina, Little Abby, and Guan Yunru all volunteered to help. The young man wanted to politely decline, but thanks to their kindness, he had to ask the girls to look at the reorganization schematics and instruct the men on how to assemble the model. Fortunately, the difficulty could be overcome, most of the solution, configuration and installation, is not too complicated.
Yunru took a silk handkerchief from her waist pocket and wiped Ding Qi’s sweat, “Brother Ding, look at you, your face is so sweaty, let me wipe it for you…” she said with a gentle and affectionate voice.
How could the alien girl let her enemy monopolize her beauty in front of her? She also took out a scented tissue and ‘served’ on the other side, “Ki, I’ll take this side.” That’s very considerate.
“Hey! I say, Miss Sina, why do you want to learn from others?” The young Chinese girl gave a blank stare and faked a fierce glare at her rival.
The blue-haired girl answered, “That’s strange. Ki’s face was born on two sides, so each of us was assigned to one side, and each of us had his own way of doing things, right? It’s not like you’re in the way…” she said with a defiant look that said, “You’re the only one who can be nice to Dinky, but you can’t allow others to do the same. You’re so innocent.
Silkie’s snatch of words, although a bit of a strong argument, but also made Yunru not know how to answer. She could only cover her lips and cry: “Forget it! I can’t stand you. Fine! We’ll split it in half! Is that okay?” Sweetly. Half-compromise.
The alien girl smiled back, “Yunru, that’s what you said yo. The left half of Ki goes to you and the right half to me, so it’s considered fair and equal. What do you think?”
“Could be! It’s decided.”
Ding Qi looked to his left and to his right, and felt a sense of ‘bad luck’: “Sina, Yunru, what are you discussing? How come I was cut in half?”
Clearly, clearly, clearly. In order to avoid overlapping jurisdictions, the Earth Girls and the Alien Girls set up penalties – offenders were not allowed to come within 10 meters of Dinky for an hour from the time they were punished. The punishment was quite ‘serious’, and they were all treading on thin ice, fearful and cautious.
The group spent three hours restoring the Mobile Suit to its pre-transformation form. The young man opened the energy gate with the remote control communicator, and the battle control computer ‘Hamish’ awakened, gradually restoring the functions of computation, memory, and maneuvering.
“Battle Control Computer ‘Hamish’ reports – now warming up, conducting self-tests and taking over the behind-the-scenes operations of ‘Asura Zeus’. Energy system is normal, power transmission system is fine, weapons system is normal, radar and defense functions are OK! Reorganization of the battle control database… complete! All sub-functions of the ‘Steel Bullet’ TD have been activated. Standby…”
Dinky smiled: “‘Hamish’, it’s really hard for you, disbanding and reassembling you. In order to make you can pass the colonial clearance test, so I had to come up with this plan.”
“Master, I understand. According to the information I received before the shutdown─the UCOE has gathered a large force to launch a general attack on the three major cities on the Moon’s surface. Is the Steel Bullet Task Force of Japan not participating in this operation?”
The young man inclined his head and thought for a moment, “According to the intelligence, the Japanese branch of the UCOE refused to send orders for mobile fighters such as Steel Bomb ‘Pupos’ to fight with the war. There are many immigrants and descendants of the Japanese nation living in the Moonwatch Colony, so the backlash from the Diet is extremely loud. The Japanese Prime Minister felt the wrath of the masses and did not send a single soldier on the grounds of national defense and security. The troops gathered in Canberra, Australia, are mostly from European and American countries, and Asian countries are reluctant to intervene or use their veto power.”
The veto power – similar to the power of intervention possessed by the permanent members of the Security Council of the United Nations in the mid-twentieth century. That is, the UCOE gives the Asian hegemonic powers the absolute power to overrule or renegotiate recognized bills or to carry out plans or military activities.
Hamish analyzed, “So, if we get involved in this battle, we will be fighting against all of Europe and America… and that doesn’t seem right…”
“The U.S. was trying to ‘get what she deserved’, so she deployed the largest number of troops, ships, and firepower in this attack. Since she has already been offended by her…, I guess it’s not too bad to make trouble with a few more countries, right?” The youth was still in the mood to joke.
Biluo, Sina, and Yunru couldn’t help but laugh out loud. The envoy spoke up: “Mr. Ding, you’ve really gone out of your way. The changes that shouldn’t have been made, we can only rely on you to turn the tide.” His expression was stagnant.
The youth nodded his head, “I will go all out and will never shy away.” His eyes were filled with determination.
“Huh? Sina, don’t we have to escort your father to a safe ground?” Yunru reminded.
The blue-haired woman urged, “After what Yun Hui said… Yes, Dad, shouldn’t you go visit Uncle Bangru? Ask him to escort you back to Pluto.”
The Confederate envoy took out the address of the military attaché, Bangru Klaus, whom he had copied before his departure, and said, “We need to find a means of transportation to go there and take a look… and then we’ll take care of it.”
Dinky consulted a list of telephone numbers of the meter rental industry provided by the freight company, telephoned for a maglev, and set off at once for the apartment of Martial Law Officer Bangru.
“Silver White E…, 157 Hughton Road…” Sina, who was sitting at the right window, carefully checked the street signs along the road, “Dad, this is a high-class residential area! There’s no mistaking it.”
Ruiru chirped, “There it is! Number 157!” A cream-colored, luxurious villa building, imitating the Earth’s Gothic style.
Bilof took the lead as he pressed and twisted the intercom bell at the front door. The woman answering the door said, “Hello, this is the residence of the military attaché of the Star Confederacy, what can I do for you, sir?”
The alien man said in a low, subdued voice, “I am the Confederate envoy, Bilof Garucci, and I have come to greet Mr. Bonlue.”
“Mr. Envoy…? Shouldn’t you be…?” The woman’s voice replied, “I’m his wife, Baja. Please come in!” The door opened and the woman invited Biloe and the four men inside.
Baja herself came out of the foyer to greet her visitor, with two machine servants waiting in the rear. “Sir, I heard that your whereabouts have been unknown since your escape from Washington. My son and I have been very worried about your safety, and we have tried to inquire about your whereabouts through many channels, but we have not heard a word from you. It is a relief to see your face again today, my lord.” She greeted the guests and served them tea.
“Baja, I am grateful for your concern, and I am fortunate that I am safe and sound. Otherwise, my daughter and I would have been in the hands of thugs who would have taken us for what we wanted.” Bilof thanked him.
Mrs. Wu looked around at the other guests, “I’ve met… Little Abby… My lord, is she your daughter with Peggy (the alien girl’s mother), Snarrow? She seems to have a beautiful body, and she’s really a beautiful girl! If Peggy is still alive, she should be smiling from the grave, right?”
The envoy swallowed tears in his laughter, hiding bitterness and thoughts of Izzy.
“Greetings, madam, you recognized my late husband at once. Your relationship with my mother is…?” The girl was puzzled.
Baja said sweetly, “Sina, your mother was my schoolmate and close friend during her lifetime, and I was the one who arranged the marriage between Peggy and your father… But I didn’t realize that Peggy couldn’t wait to see you grow up before..! A young woman’s life is not meant to be! I can only say that life is unpredictable and life is unpredictable!” Her nose then turned sour.
Sina’s eyes shimmered with water, “I can’t recall the past…”. It’s been ten years now, and Mom is only a remnant in faded photographs and home video discs; her scent and kindness are only vaguely remembered in dreams. Her scent and kindness are only vaguely felt in dreams. She is so far away and so dim, but she is reflected in the cool figure in the vanity mirror every day. Everyone around me praised my mother’s beauty, competence, and shrewdness, hoping that people would look up to her – I was too much like her.”
“Therefore, I was dedicated to reaching my goal, even if it was just a small improvement – I believed that my mother would be smiling and encouraging me from the corner of the world. The little stars that twinkle in the sky at night are all her caring eyes, and I know that she has always been there for me, and has never left me. Otherwise, how could I have met a boy whom I loved from the very first moment I met him?” Unable to contain her excitement, the alien beauty finally burst into tears, letting it all out. After ten years of patience…
Bilof, seeing such a scene, did not know what to say to pacify his beloved daughter.
Dinky, without saying a word, embraced Sina into his arms. The young girl has a strong harbor around the embrace, more and more pouring heart song, a hair out of control.
Yun Ru felt the same way, and she patted the alien girl on the shoulder, “Sina, compared to you, I’m so happy…”. Don’t cry any more..! Seeing how sad you are makes me sad too…” As the Chinese girl tried to persuade her, she herself burst into tears – so Yun Ru hugged Sina and the two beautiful women cried together…
“Yun… Ru…, thank you… for your… comfort… you’re so nice!” Sina’s thoughtful words, “It would be even better if you weren’t… an enemy…” Her ‘enemy consciousness’ in love affairs
Still not a little slack.
The Chinese girl spat out her tongue, “How can you remember that at a time like this? I’m flattered, Ms. Sina…” The old enmity was cleared up and they just continued to embrace each other and cry.
The women were already crying. Dinky stayed ‘neutral’, letting the two gorgeous girls cry on his chest. Crying is a powerful language, a terrible weapon for girls, which can be used for romance and self-pity. Men don’t cry lightly, just not to the sad place. The young man’s tears have dried up long ago, haven’t they?
Dingqi wait for the girls emotionally calm down, sobbing tend to stop, before speaking: “Silk Na, Yunru, you mood to restore normal?” He took the tissue, left and right open bow, together for the two charming sweet girl wiped off the bead stains – to save lack of fairness, since the prevention of disputes.
“I’m sorry, Ki, Yunru and I accidentally got your blouse all wet…” the blue-haired girl apologized.
“It doesn’t matter. Clothes are wet and can be dried after washing; moods are in disarray and can only be soothed after venting. Heart matters can never be buried, will be smothered out of the disease.” The young man laughed lightly, not caring.
Mrs. Armsmaster looked at the other two guests and asked the envoy, “These two are Earthlings, aren’t they? Why are they traveling with you?”
To make a long story short, Biluo said, “This is my savior, Tingqi, and this beautiful girl, Guan Yunru, is a friend of my daughter, Sina.”
Unexpectedly, the girls who were listening said in unison, “No. Who said that? We’re rivals!”
They’re still holding hands – ‘close’ rivals?
“A love rival? …” Baja observed for a while, “Oh..! Your daughter and Ms. Kwan are… because of Mr. Ting.”
The envoy said, “I’m sorry to make you laugh, Baja. As an elder, I can only watch from afar, I can’t control. The young children’s business, they should be their own, bear when.”
The woman covered her smile, “Indeed. It’s a generational change, they’re in charge now.”
“When will he return home, Bonroux?”
“The situation has been quite unsettled lately, and the Confederate office on the Moon has been put on high alert for fear of unrest. He usually comes back late at night, so I can’t be sure of the time.”
Bilof explains his intentions, “Due to the dithering and belligerence of the United States, I can no longer stay on the other side of the planet, and fear that political pressure or violent intimidation will force me and my daughter, Sina, to stay away from my apartment, so I have no choice but to go into temporary exile and return when the time is right. During this interim period, I would like to request the protection of Mr. Bangru, the military attaché, to send me to Pluto. The presence of the ‘Star Confederacy’ garrison there would be beneficial in stabilizing the situation.”
“My lord, it is a great honor for you to come to the humble house of a petty military officer for such a reason!” Baja came to a realization.
The middle-aged alien man smiled: “You are too kind. Your husband’s position is not a small one — a high-ranking official of the third rank. If converted into a military position, it is enough to command an army corps – even the commander of Pluto’s own army has to straighten his back and salute when he touches Banglu – Baja, you really don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Mrs. Wu’s wife chirped: “Hee hee…, Your Excellency, you really know how to praise people. No wonder my son is so devoted to you as his superior.”
“Well, Baja, don’t just brag about each other.” Bilov said seriously, “Since Mr. Musashi is not at home, I don’t want to disturb him too much. So…” He got up and was about to leave. Dinki and the others followed.
She urged her to stay: “Aigoo, Mr. Envoy! You and our couple have not met for so long, just chat a few words to leave, do not think I am not good hospitality ah? Once Banglu found out, it would be like what the Chinese people on earth say – people ‘jumping into the Yellow River can’t wash away’. Five honored guests, please stay.”
Pilof thought, “That’s true! It seems a shame to have failed to meet a friend and to have failed to make his beloved do the honors of a host…. “With those words, well, I’ll wait until Bangru enters.”
Mrs. Wu was delighted and immediately ordered the servants to prepare a sumptuous dinner. The six of them sat around the living room and chatted about everything…
The guest of honor is full of food. Sina and Yun went to the window sill to look at the black velvet diamonds in the sky, clamoring for the young Chinese to invite the starbursts down. “Wow..! What a beautiful star field! Kee, I want that star! And… that one’s not bad either! …” the alien girl murmured with delight as she pointed and pointed.
Chinese girl Man cried, “Brother Ding, you can’t lose sight of the other. I want to pick a star too! But it’s not hanging in the sky, it’s… here!” She took advantage of the fact that Sina was only looking up, forgetting the handsome man beside her, and threw her arms around Dinky!
“Hey..! Yunru, how could you sneak away? That’s despicable!” Sina was not to be outdone.
This time, the girls were so close to each other that they stuck to the young man.
Ding Qi was flattered and said with a red face: “You… you don’t have to do this… I… will be very uncomfortable…” He couldn’t escape from the situation.
Both girls smiled sweetly: “It’s all right, you’ll get used to it later! The competition between Sina and Yun Hui was not easy to tell until the very end.
Bilov and Paya were seated on the guest side of the table, looking at this strange triangle, “My lord, don’t you think… if they keep going on like this… won’t there be any problems?” The woman was a bit skeptical.
“My daughter and Ms. Yun-Ru have had their quarrels, but they have kept their personal feelings and friendship very clear, and we are still in the ‘calm before the storm’, aren’t we? No one can say for sure what will happen next – it’s best to let nature take its course.” The Special Envoy was looking far ahead.
Baja made a dedicated call to Bangru’s office to inform him that he had an important guest at home and to return home early. “Baja, who is that important?” “Your top boss. Don’t ask too many questions, just come back soon.”
The military attaché arrived at his residence three hours early, and when he was greeted by his wife, she urged him: “Banglu, the envoy has been waiting for you at home for a long time, so go in and pay your respects to him.”
“Mr. Special… Special Envoy? He’s safe? That’s great! I’ll be right there!” He handed over his jacket to Palya and took three steps, darting inside.
When Banglu met Biluo, he first raised his hand and said respectfully, “I have just heard from my insiders that you have come to our house, and I wonder what instructions you have for us.”
Bilov then informed him of his intention to take refuge on Pluto, “so I would like to ask you to give me a ride, because I have no more powerful friends on the other side of the planet to support me, and I am obliged to do so.”
The military attaché replied, “My lord, I understand your situation, and I will follow your wishes in getting you to your destination. However, with the force under my control, it may not be easy to fight off any resistance during the escort.”
“Uncle Banglu, don’t worry, we have a good helper!” The alien beauty girl popped up and spoke in a delicate voice.
The middle-aged man couldn’t help but be slightly shocked, “Young Miss…, who are you…? Ah! You’re Sina! Isn’t that right?”
“Uncle, you got it right! What a good memory!” Sina gushed.
“Oh..! You’re getting brighter and brighter, and I almost didn’t recognize you! Sina, when you said you had help, what did you mean?”
The sweet girl pulled in Dinky, “Here, this is the young Earth Chinese man-Dinky.”
“Him? What can a mere Terran do to help?” Bunglu couldn’t figure it out.
“Qi? Uncle, don’t underestimate Odd, he’s tough! Most importantly, he’s the pilot of the ‘Steel Bullet’!”
The middle-aged military officer cried out in dismay, “Ah? A steel bullet! This young man is driving a steel bullet?
“He fixed his eyes and realized that the dark-haired man sitting upright was indeed extraordinary.
“Yeah! Moreover, he also brought the steel bullet TD──’Asura Zeus’ with him! It’s definitely not inferior to the Steel Bomb ‘Sayuna’ from the Moon Surface Base.” Sina finished her sentence in one breath, snatching the line Dinky was trying to say in passing.
The youth was left with only the remnants of a giggle and a nod on one side, “Yes… yes.” He responded.
“With the addition of a steel bullet to the Jatamis, the environment has become even more chaotic. Although Sayana has contributed a lot to the fight for freedom and equality in the colonies, it has also brought the situation between the Moon and Earth into an unprecedented confrontation. It’s hard to judge the merits of the ‘Steel Bombs’ from an observer’s point of view.” Bonlue sighed.
Sina said, “I don’t really like ‘Steel Bomb’. However, in view of the excessive desire to fight that exists in all human beings on Earth, the dream of peace will never be realized without the tireless efforts of the pilots of the Steel Bomb. That’s what Ki said-‘stopping war with war’, isn’t it?” The girl held the young man’s hand.
The Chinese girl was no longer silent, and also spoke: “Like people admire the steel bullet, whether it is itself or the pilot, is a combination of power and beauty. War is inherently cruel and meaningless. The Steel Bomb pilots who are willing to give up their lives and time to fight with the bloodthirsty devil for a group of people they never knew, emitting selfless light and heat all over their bodies, don’t they deserve to be admired and applauded?” She supported Dinky.
“May I ask if you are…?”
“I am a friend of this Mr. Dinky, named Guan Yunru. Mr. Bangru, hello.”
“Ms. Guan, what you say is not unreasonable. I believe history will speak for itself later. Then… Mr. Dinki,”
“Yes, Mr. Bonroux.” The young man nodded his head.
“Is it true that there are rumors that the Earth UCOE is going to move against the three major cities on the moon’s surface? Is that why you’re here too?”
“Indeed. The secondary purpose of my coming here was indeed for that reason, and the main thing remains to send Mr. Envoy to the Moon.”
The middle-aged military officer bowed his head in thought, “The ‘Intergalactic Confederation’ does not wish to intervene in the internal problems of other galaxies, but if there is a risk of damaging the interests of the organization’s entitlements, or the inhabitants of the diaspora, it will be stopped by the use of military force.”
The envoy agreed, “You are right to expect that the Star Confederacy will not stand idly by. There will be much speculation as to how the situation will evolve.”
Sina said anxiously, “Dad, can’t you get the Confederacy not to send troops to attack the solar system? That would be too bad for the human race…”
“My dear daughter, my position is only that of an envoy. In case HQ insists on marching into war, my insights are for reference only and won’t sway the decision.” Biluo was rather apologetic.
Dinky’s face was stoic, ”Silna, I accept your kindness with all my heart! The people of Earth should be able to solve their own problems. Mr. Military Attaché, Mr. Special Envoy, let me put it this way – once the ‘Intergalactic Confederacy’ has declared its intention to attack the solar system and put it into practice, the ‘Steel Bullet’ TD and I will treat the Confederate forces as enemies!”
Pilov sighed: “Mr. Dinh… that’s exactly what I don’t want to see. Can’t you join the Confederacy? We need someone of your caliber…”
“Sorry. As the pilot of the ‘Steel Bullet’ TD, I must maintain the middle ground – never take sides and recognize reality before making the right choice.” The Chinese youth thanked him.
“Are these the so-called ‘freedom fighters’? Mr. Ting, you’d rather be a rogue soldier than join the regular military system?” Banglu pointed out.
The young man answered, “Yes! There is nothing wrong or right with the orders that the UCOE soldiers are following nowadays, and even if they have no conscience, they can’t run away from it – I think it’s not enough for me. Therefore, I will rely on my own strength to test the justice of my heart.”
The envoy smiled, “Let’s put it this way! Mr. Ting, since you can’t be a force for good in the Confederacy, I certainly don’t expect you to be the toughest of rivals. If necessary, I will do my best to persuade those at the top to minimize the emotional friction with the Solar System. Bongru, will you join me in lobbying?”
“As you wish, my lord! Subordinates will poke and prod Yucheng.” The military officer said yes.
Ding Qi got up and thanked him, “Then I’ll favor you two!” With heartfelt intentions.
“Mr. Ding,” said Biluo, “my daughter Sina will ask you and Miss Guan to take care of her. The child’s temperament is a bit aggressive and straightforward, but not without a gentle, soft temperament. Her birth mother died too early, Sina had to attach the invisible spiritual armament to it. She’s sweet on the outside, but strong on the inside – you’ll have to give her the benefit of the doubt on all fronts.
After all, a girl is a girl, and ‘love itself is the whole of life’. My daughter has been influenced by such a deep-rooted belief of the people of the earth, and I think the same way. You are a wise man, so I don’t need to tell you what to do…”
The Chinese man smiled lightly, “Mr. Envoy, the late generation understands. I will make Sina happy for the rest of her life!” He made a vow.
“Very well! Hearing that from you will surely come true later!” Bilof consoled.
The alien girl’s bashful cheeks said: “Dad, you’re just going to hand your daughter over to someone else so easily? How generous of you.” Is it because she can’t bear to part with her daughter? Or is it just a case of defiance?
The envoy, Banglu, and Baja looked at each other for a moment, and the three of them suddenly let out a harrumph.
“Dad, Uncle, Auntie! What on earth are you laughing at?” Sina was getting more and more embarrassed, hiding behind the Earth men’s shoulders, still not sure what she meant.
Yun Ru approached, “Silkie, is your father laughing at you?
Huh?”
The blue-haired girl quickly ascertained the meaning, “Yo? A girl wants to get married as soon as she grows up? Yun Ru, is that what you Earthlings are all like?”
“This is a traditional Chinese idiom! It’s a kind of ‘metaphor’. What kind of girl spends her days thinking about getting married?” Earth Maiden cleared the air first.
Sina quickly proved her innocence, “Dad, what are you thinking? It’s not like that… I don’t want to leave you so soon…”
The envoy smiled through her teeth, “That’s hard to say. There are a lot of girls who leave their families behind once they have a favorite boyfriend, and I can’t guarantee that you won’t.”
“People don’t!” The alien girl protested with pouty lips, taking hold of Tinky’s upper arm and not letting go.
Youth is not good to talk too much, all waiting for heaven’s arrangement. I only hope that we can stay together for a long time and spend the rest of our lives together, so that our acquaintance will not be wasted. …
It was eleven o’clock in the evening of the day. Earth UCOE Japan branch headquarters.
Minister Yamakawa was sitting in his office, holding a pipe in his left hand and rubbing the end of the pipe with his fingers, very agitated and depressed. He originally advocated cooperating with the action of the world headquarters, sending the ‘steel bullet’ task force to the moon surface city to punish the ‘thugs’. On the one hand, it would be a great show of power and skill; on the other hand, his reputation would also rise and rise – not bad for his official career.
However, the Prime Minister’s unwillingness to go against the people’s opinion and the boycott by the Diet caused Yamakawa’s dream to be cut short. As a result, he was unable to sleep for two or three nights in a row, and came to the office in anger.
Light up curls of green smoke, spit and swallow, immersed in the slanting moonlight, the smoke of indignation to lock the whole office.
‘Damn it! If I were the Prime Minister of Japan, why would there be so many restrictions and rules? My plan to enter and leave Northeast China would have gone up in smoke… It was all because I was too caught up in the unnecessary burden of democracy and freedom! The minister suddenly thought, ‘The Prime Minister of Japan has all the political power and resources. The current Prime Minister is too weak and timid, and is only causing the country’s situation to become more and more crippled. It’s time for someone else to do the job – to take him out of power and make me the underground Prime Minister… A real king will enable Japan to dominate the world…’ Yamakawa was planning a mutiny to take over the throne.
Japan’s Self-Defense Forces (SDF) are ranked among the top five of the world’s national armies in terms of combat power and readiness, and the minister of the division does not want to spend too much on weapons and ammunitions to bring them down – the SDF is still expected to play a role in the future war of aggression against China, and it cannot be destroyed lightly. He wants to take power quickly and swiftly and force the Prime Minister to step down, so that he can take his place.
To do this quickly, of course, you have to use the best of the best of the fighters. The Minister has mobilized three 400-strong special operations infantry divisions, a 100-strong special armored brigade, and the Steel Bullet Task Force, all under his command. The Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers were targeted for siege, house arrest, threats and inducements – to make the Cabinet organization completely at his mercy. Politicians can only be manipulated with extreme maneuvering – the way they do it, they do it to themselves.
The timing of the operation, he set after the UCOE’s duel with the Moonwatch Colony was over. To seize power in a fast and furious manner while international attention was focused on dealing with the aftermath. This time only, success only.
The utilization of power is nothing more than that. Yamakawa couldn’t help but heave a cold laugh, the tone of his voice several times hysterical. Power truly corrupts. Absolute decay.
The main strategy was roughly finalized, and the finalization of strategy, tactics, and logistical support could not defeat the veteran general who had been in the military for many years, and the plan had been finalized. The night, mixed with conspiracy, is even darker and colder. The world situation is like a chess game, it all depends on how the players land their pieces. It’s all about the strength of the game, the strength of the pieces, and the strength of the pieces.
Combining the armaments of Japan with UCOE is the first step in his attempt to conquer the world; furthermore, he will unite with South Korea to fight against China; after weakening China’s power, he will then annihilate South Korea – to rebuild the ‘Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere’ which has not been accomplished since the Second World War – with Japan being the dominant power and the rest of the Asian countries being only of subordinate value.
‘To conquer the world, we must first conquer China; to conquer China, we must first conquer Manchuria’ – Japan’s ambition to conquer China’s territory can be imagined. For the past two hundred years, it has been the same, and the whole nation has been devoted to its fulfillment. Yamakawa thought of himself as shouldering this ‘important historical responsibility’, and he had been restricting and criticizing the Chinese expatriates who had moved to the country, which had stirred up a lot of national knots. He did not seek to improve the situation, but rather intensified his resentment.
Or maybe it’s not too much to say that it’s a book of blood and tears and grudges through the ages.
Seven hours later, at 6:00 a.m. Jiro Kita, who had been ordered to leave at any time to search for the Chinese ‘Steel Bullet’ TD, was carrying out an airframe function check on the ‘Pupos’.
‘That will do. Just wait for the Minister’s personal instructions…’ Jiro’s mind was certain. He leapt off the cabin and landed quickly.
“Captain Kita!” Colonel Yokohama, the base commander, approached to call out.
The Japanese youth replied, “Yes! Sir! I’m here!” He saluted.
The Colonel cleared his throat, “Headquarters Minister Yamakawa has personally called – the order to hunt the Chinese steel bombs is suspended, you and the Steel Bomb Task Force will wait at the base for further orders. The Minister will issue other important orders.”
“Yes!” Kita obeyed with his mouth, but inwardly he couldn’t help but wonder─’What the hell is going on?
The Minister is not a capricious person, unless there is an imminent political change in the country…”
‘Well, let’s go and see Yasuko some time after the headquarters start work…’ He walked back to his bedroom. The sharpness of his profession gave Jiro the feeling that something big was about to happen. There was a strange aura about it – a sense of crisis that was necessary after a long career on the battlefield.
Taking advantage of his position, Minister Yamakawa began to move mobile special operations infantry divisions and armored brigades to the outskirts of Tokyo, naturally not forgetting to label them as ‘routine drills’ so as not to draw attention to themselves. Their inner circle of troops quietly and gradually encircled the capital. Part of the armored brigade detachment into the square under the Tokyo Tower, the first point of attack to stand firm, the defense line, the Kung Fu surface when the water will be ready.
The Minister half-smiled and smiled as he looked at the computer screen showing the positions of the various military units in the maneuver, ‘All personnel have arrived at the scheduled line of attack. Let’s wait and see if the battle between the UCOE and the Lunar Colony will be won or lost, and then we’ll know the best day to act…”
The white-haired man laughed eerily, echoing in the quiet office… End of Chapter 2, to be continued…
