Makaru Tsuki Mirage ~Legend of the Holy Maiden~

First night

Late at night in the downtown area, neon lights flashing in the steel and concrete jungle of people passing by, as if drifting in the vast sea of people.

A corner of a high-rise apartment in a metropolitan residential neighborhood at eleven thirty at night.

“Sophia phase she’s the one we’ve been looking for, Sakura what do you think?”

A cute little girl in a lightweight skirt suit was listening with a pink Kitty Cat cell phone in her hand.

“Well, she has gentle eyes that look like azure oceans…”

The young girl named Sakura gazed out the window at the far corner of the window where the lights glowed with stars in a slightly mesmerized manner.

“I’m guessing you’re caught in the web of unrequited love.”

“Phew… I have a sweet and sour beating in my chest…” said Sakura as she closed her eyes slightly and sighed softly.

“Pound!!!” At this moment, the mottled wooden door that was a stone’s throw away from each other was suddenly slammed open!

“Freeze! We are the criminal police!!!” Three gun-toting officers rushed in.

The downstairs of the apartment building had been surrounded by police cars flashing one red and one blue.

“Oh no, they’re here again.” The highest-ranking officer said to himself helplessly as he saw a black sedan coming towards the area.

Black sedan parked on the side of the road, the door opened out of the four tall and frivolous wearing a black trench coat of cold beauty.

“Don’t argue with me about command, I’ve sent someone upstairs to settle this little matter.” The officer said in a sarcastic tone.

“Officer, you may not be clear about the situation, we are here to protect your lives.” The cold beauty in the lead said expressionlessly.

“Come on! It’s just a little girl, our guys will take care of her.” The officer said.

“Officer, your man is dead.”

The woman said and led the way into the apartment.

“Raise your hands above your head!” The officer ordered Sakura.

When he was about to take the handcuffs and cuff Sakura, the small, seemingly delicate hand on the outside bit up hard like a steel claw without warning.

Before even the sound of screaming could end, the officer’s right hand had been snapped off, and the palm strike to the bridge of his nose had shattered his facial bones. The frail-looking Sakura leapt into the air and delivered a flying kick that sent the officer, who was several times her size and strength, flying into the wall and crashing down.

The remaining two officers drew their guns and shot Sakura, who was running along the wall at a 90-degree angle. She quickly dodged the bullets that flew towards her, and circled around behind one of the officers and twisted his right hand, which was holding the gun, towards the other officer who was shooting at her, forming an exchange of fire.

Sakura, who had finished taking care of her troubles, picked up her cell phone and headed for the door without hesitation.

“Nene, this comm network is bugged, I must leave immediately, over.”

Sakura hadn’t taken more than a few steps out of the room when she saw the woman in black appear at the other end of the hallway.

Without a second thought, Sakura sprinted towards the roof of the building without looking back.

The black woman leading the constable was close behind.

Sakura ran at a high speed of 9.9 seconds for a hundred meters without blushing or gasping for breath, and the woman in black who was right behind her was chasing her at an even faster speed.

The iron door on the roof of the building was pushed open, and Sakura continued to race across the rooftop of the building as the black-clad woman in hot pursuit drew her 0.5-inch caliber Desert Eagle semi-automatic pistol hidden in her pocket and opened fire on her as she moved.

Killing bullets whizzed behind Sakura’s ears, and if she slowed down just a little bit, she’d have a big crater hole chiseled in her body.

The only way to survive is to give up resisting or to jump the 100m or more to the building across the street, a distance that is not humanly possible.

Maybe Sakura isn’t human…

The officers chasing Sakura each watched in disbelief as she jumped in a nearly straight line to the roof of the building across the street, her figure disappearing after a forward roll.

What made it even harder for them to believe was yet to come, as the woman in black who had led them on a chase after Sakura jumped in a larger parabola to the roof of the building across the street!
